can you do it without sidebar powers?

Hello again Jeff! I realized if you hit CTRL+[building hotkey] you can get the GUI for the building without moving your view. Now with the 1-9 keys you can route reinforcements to your offensive forces without losing sight of what is going on! I never knew that somehow, after a thousand hours in this game, doh. I added some AHK script stuff to reverse the default behavior, so that CTRL+KEY is needed to go back to the base for everything except H key. Oh also I had the idea to hotkey the view bookmarks to a couple keys as an extra thing. If anyone is interested in the AHK script updates lemme know. ANYWAYS... I just came back to play the game a little again. I thought about why I love this game so much. The take on resource collection and economy setup is just so inviting I guess. It's not perfect, but its pretty well done. They put so much effort into making the game user friendly and informative. The genie, the advisors, the enemies communicating, everyone clickable with changing dialogues depending on your fear factor and economy settings (say, extra food). They really went the extra mile of making this the masterpiece after the original Stronghold. I wish it didn't have a few obvious flaws for all the love they put into it. UCP patch helps to some degree as well as autohotkey.

I'd suggest an Assassins only vs 7 Nizars, but moats kinda ruin it

Beat the wolf with tunnelers only?

Saladin, caliph, richard are the most annoying lords. They are spaming catapults to destroy you. For me the most important thing is how agressive they are because most likely beginning of each game is the most important part. Richard, wolf can kill you because of amount of swordsmans and pikemans. Philip can push with knights to destroy economy, caliph, saladin and richards engineers can destroy whole economy and defense. Defense of each lord can be important but it depends how far each lord stands from your castle. Some lords we can rush and some no. Economy of each lord depends on the difficulty we have chosen. I most likely chose 40k for computer so I am only focussed on a beginning

You can try against 7 caliphs on the river where you are in the bottom corner with a lot of iron

Stronghold could be an entire different ("new") game if the maps were huge in size, like 10 times. Castles and outpost towers would make more sense, for defence, because one can't use the games borders for protection and one would need to defend ressources with towers and an outher second wall.

Do a challenge in which you beat all Arab lords with monks only. That would be a real crusade xD Also, how about beating Rat with ladder men/tunnelers only? It will be nice to see those pieces of sh*t put to some actual combat

Taking on Caliph apparently gets difficult if you can't send a human wave of spearmen and slaves to screen for the main attack force.
